MILLEDGEVILLE — If you are interested in becoming a Foster or Adoptive parent IMPACT pre-service training classes will be held on six Saturdays beginning Aug. 3-Sept. 14 (will skip Labor Day weekend). Call 478-445-7020 for more information.

A motorcycle ride for The Donald E. Roach Sr. ALS Fund will take place on Aug. 10 at 8:30 a.m., beginning at the Milledgeville Mall. The event is to help raise money to assist Roach with getting a wheelchair accessible van. There is also a savings fund at MidSouth Credit Union under the name: Donald E. Roach Sr. ALS Fund. Thursday, Aug. 1

10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Noon: The Rotary meets at the Country Club.

Noon: The Eatonton Kiwanis Club meets at Central Georgia Tech on the James Marshall bypass.

12:30 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Plaza Arts Center, 305 N. Madison Ave. in Eatonton. For more information contact Betty Roper at 706-467-3079.

2-5 p.m.: Free HIV testing at 900 Barrows Ferry Road. 478-445-5518.

3 p.m.: The Baldwin County Board of Assessors meets in the Baldwin County Courthouse in Room 104.

3-5 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 4:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County Chapter of the Fort Valley State Alumni Association meets at the public service building at the Milledgeville Police Department.

6:30 p.m.: The Milledgeville Area Patriots meet at Victory Baptist Church on Meriwether Road. The meeting is open to the public.

7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Lions Club meets at the Golden Corral on North Columbia Street.

7:30 p.m.: Bingo is held at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Refreshments will be sold. 478-452-1611.

7:30 p.m.: Lake Country Twirlers is a square dance club that meets at the Harmony Association Building on Highway 44.
