MILLEDGEVILLE — Thursday, Oct. 17

8:30 a.m.: The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce Full Board meets in the Chamber Boardroom at 130 S. Jefferson St.

10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. For information or to volunteer call 478-457-2124.

11 a.m.: AARP will meet at the Golden Corral on N. Columbia St. Please bring items for the food pantry.

Noon: The Rotary meets at the Country Club.

Noon: The Eatonton Kiwanis Club meets at Central Georgia Tech on the James Marshall bypass.

12:30 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Plaza Arts Center, 305 N. Madison Ave. in Eatonton. For more information contact Betty Roper at 706-467-3079.

2 and 3 p.m.: The LIR Book Group will hold a meeting at the First Presbyterian Church, 210 S. Wayne St. The Writer’s Group will follow.

2-5 p.m.: Free HIV testing at 900 Barrows Ferry Road. 478-445-5518.

5:30-7 p.m.: The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce hosts Business After Hours. Call 478-453-9311 for the location.

6:30 p.m.: The John Milledge Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, meet at the Milledgeville Country Club.

7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Lions Club meets at the Golden Corral on North Columbia Street.

7:30 p.m.: Bingo is held at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Refreshments will be sold. 478-452-1611.

7:30 p.m.: Lake Country Twirlers is a square dance club that meets at the Harmony Association Building on Highway 44.
