The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the Small Business of the Year Award. The candidates are either nominated by customers or vendors, or a member may self-nominate. Allied Arts will host a Chair Bottoming Workshop on Jan. 26, 2013 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Registration is $62 and includes all materials. Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna.

10 a.m. to noon: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.: A representative of Congressman Paul Broun’s office will be on hand at the Central State Hospital Powell Building, 620 Broad Street, Suite 401-C, to meet with constituents and hear their concerns.
