MILLEDGEVILLE — Middle Georgia Art Association is accepting submissions for their Flowers, Twigs and Buds exhibit. The exhibit will be judged and is open to all Middle Georgia artists in all media. You must be 18 or older and out of high school to enter. Allied Arts will host a Chair Bottoming Workshop on Jan. 26, 2013 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Registration is $62 and includes all materials. Gordon Better Hometown is overstocked on Christmas ornaments, past and present. If interested in purchasing one or want more information, contact (478) 233-3003.

Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym. 

10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.: A Toddler Time program (ages: 18 months – 3 years) will be held at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library, 151 South Jefferson St. For more information, call (478) 452-0677 (ext. 129).

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering, call (478) 453-4400.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor. 

1 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center on Madison Avenue in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.

3 to 4 p.m.: Story Time program (ages 3 years and up) will be held at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library, 151 South Jefferson St. For more information, call (478) 452-0677 (ext. 129).

3 to 5 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 5:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County Board of Education meets at the board administrative building, 110 N. ABC Drive.

5:30: Milledgeville City Council holds a work session at City Hall Executive Chambers. 

6 p.m.: The Faith Hope and Love Cancer Support Group for Women meets at Golden Corral, 2600 N. Columbia St. in the Walmart Shopping Center. The meeting is open to cancer patients and survivors. 6:30 p.m.: Milledgeville City Council meets at City Hall.

7 p.m.: Eatonton Elks Lodge #2549 will host a Country Cook'n Buffet. They will serve country-fried steak and trimmings. Adult tickets cost is $10, tickets for children 12 and under cost $6. Everyone is invited. The lodge is a smoke free environment. For more information, contact (706) 485-8606.
