7:45 to 10:30 a.m.: The Oconee Valley Iris Club will accept entries for its annual Spring show on Saturday at the Milledgeville Mall. The theme of the show is “The Dance of the Iris”. Awards will be given in Horticultural and Artistic categories for both Adults and Youth. Entries will be accepted at the center front door of the Milledgeville Mall, judging will begin at 11.
8 a.m.: Yoga at the Greenway has moved indoors to Blackbird Coffee. Bring a yoga mat and/or towel. All ages welcome. $3/1 hour session.
8 a.m.: The 100 Black Men of Milledgeville and Baldwin County meet at the Baldwin County Recreation Center on Highway 22. Mentees meet at 10 a.m.
9 a.m.: The Annual Dixie Aeromasters Spring Fling Fly-In is at Commissioners Field in Gray. The event is free to the public. Pilot registration fee is $10. Spring Fling includes a raffle drawing, concessions and a noon air show. Mac Hodges will fly his 20-foot wing span B-29 RC plane at the event. Come see some of the best and upcoming RC pilots in the region. Various makes and models will be on display Saturday. Commissioners Field is locate on Overland Way in Gray. 9 a.m. to noon: The Greenway Farmers Market will be held at the Oconee River Greenway, Highway 22 West. Buzzy’s Family Fun Run will also take place.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Oconee Regional Chapter of Project Linus meets in the Education Center of Park Tower at Oconee Regional Medical Center. The Chapter is open to anyone who wants to provide needy children with a comforting blanket. Attendees should bring their lunch.
1 to 4 p.m.: The Oconee Valley Iris Club’s “The Dance of the Iris” show will be held at the Milledgeville Mall. It is free and open to the public and there will be quality plants for sale at a bargain price.
Noon to 4 p.m.: A “Friends of the Cultural Center” Cookout will be held at GC’s West Campus Pavilion, The Village. Call (478) 445-8155 for more information. Bring one canned good to attend.
5 p.m.: A Cultural Connections’ showcase will be held at GC’s Russell Auditorium.
