MILLEDGEVILLE — AARP Foundation TaxAide volunteers will be in the area from Feb. 2 through April 15. To apply visit www.aarp.org/taxaide.

The Oconee Master Gardeners Association and the Putnam County Cooperative Extension invites all interested parties to attend a Feb. 12 class on Gardening with Limitations. This is the second part of a four part series. The class will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Hut, 400A West Marion St., Eatonton. Contact 706-485-4151 to pre-register for the free class. Middle Georgia CARE-NET will hold Caring for the Caregiver with collaboration by the GC Music Therapy Department, the GC Center for Health and Social Issues and Evercare Hospice. The event will be Feb. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon with registration at 8:30 at the First Baptist Church of Milledgeville Fellowship Hall, 330 Liberty Street. Tuesday, Feb. 4

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym.

11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering call 478-453-4400.

11 a.m.: The public is invited to attend a weekly meeting at the Collins P. Lee Center at 237 Harrisburg Road to discuss plans for the Lucille Harris Community Garden and Solomon Harris Walking Trail, as well as to hear updates about efforts by the Parks & Recreation Dept., Milledgeville Community Garden Association, Baldwin Family Connection and the Habitat for Humanity Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. 12:30 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Plaza Arts Center, 305 N. Madison Ave. in Eatonton. For more information contact Betty Roper at 706-467-3079.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

6 p.m.: The County Commission meets in the Baldwin County Courthouse in Room 319.

6:30 p.m.: American Legion Auxiliary Post 523 meets at 430 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. All members are urged to attend.

7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at St. Peter Claver auditorium in Macon to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. 478-335-3010.
