A community trip to Casino Drive in Cherokee, N.C. will take place on Saturday, July 20. Transportation will be provided, and the group will leave at 8 a.m. from the Piggly Wiggly on the Southside. June 3-July 19 the Baldwin County Nutrition Department will provide free meals to children. The meals will be served at Baldwin High School, Monday-Friday. Breakfast is from 7:30-9 a.m. and lunch is from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. A school bus will also deliver and serve lunches throughout the community. Communities In Schools has partnered with Baldwin Family Connection to hold a School Uniform Drive until July 31. New and gently used clothing will help provide uniforms to students in need. Acceptable clothing items are: khaki, black or navy pants and white, navy, red or black shirts with collars. Clothes can be dropped off Monday-Thursday at the Board of Education, Communities In Schools (GC, 101 Chappell Hall), Northridge Christian Church (after July 7) and First United Methodist Church.
