8 a.m.: Yoga at the Greenway has moved indoors to Blackbird Coffee. Bring a yoga mat and/or towel. All ages welcome. $3/1 hour session.
9 a.m. to noon: The Greenway Farmers Market will hold its Grand Opening. The market will be at the Oconee River Greenway, Highway 22 West.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The Gordon Woman’s Club Fleamarket will be held at 110 College St., Gordon. The cafe will be open and serving barbecue as well as desserts. There will be furniture, gadgets, clothes, etc. Vendor spaces are available for $5, call (478) 233-3003.
3 p.m.: The Readers Book Club meets at Blackbird Coffee downtown to discuss its current selection. Be prepared to suggest or vote on a book for the group to read. The club is free and open to the community.
7:30 p.m.: Georgia College Choral Ensembles, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Flory, will perform their concert “A Night at the Opera” at First Baptist Church, 330 S. Liberty St. The concert is free and open to the public, donations will be collected for the American Heart Association. The concert will be dedicated to the memory of Dr. Richard Mercier, former chair of the Georgia College Music Department. Dr. Mercier died March 1 of a sudden heart attack. 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.: Ballroom Dancing held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flannery O’Connor Hall at 110 N. Jefferson St. Admission is $5. Dancers of all levels gather monthly at this alcohol and smoke-free event. For more information contact Carol Melder at (478) 453-3345.
