Belk’s will host a Charity Sale on Saturday, April 27 from 6 to 10 a.m. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds from tickets sales go to Relay for Life. Baldwin County Schools will hold kindergarten registration for children 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2013. Registration will be held weekdays March 18-29 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Birth certificate, proof of residence, current immunization form, eye, ear and dental forms and a social security card are required. 8 a.m. until noon: The Seventh Annual Relay for Life Yard Sale will be held at the First United Methodist Church Lake Pavilion on Bill Johnson Road off of Log Cabin Road. Proceeds will benefit cancer research through the Relay for Life Foundation.
8 a.m.: Yoga at the Greenway has moved indoors to Blackbird Coffee. Bring a yoga mat and/or towel. All ages welcome. $3/1 hour session.
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The fourth annual Job and Career Forum will be held at Georgia College's Arts and Sciences Building and Auditorium this Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Business and industry representatives from the Middle Georgia area will be on hand to discuss job/career opportunities, as well as give mock interviews. Personnel from the Georgia Department of Labor, Central Georgia Technical College and the American Professional Institute are attending and will hold workshops. Noon to 4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists building at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Thomas St. Bikes will be repaired by volunteers and given to those in greatest need in the community. The event is co-sponsored by Milledgeville Cares, Inc. and the Milledgeville Fire Department. Donations of all usable bikes and bike parts will be accepted at the station on Thomas Street any time. High school age and adult volunteers are needed to repair bikes. Adam Heagy of Oconee Outfitters will teach the class. Tools will be provided or available at cost for individual's kits (optional).
