MILLEDGEVILLE — Tuesday, Oct. 9

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering, call (478) 453-4400.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

1 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center on Madison Avenue in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.

3 to 6 p.m.: Milledgeville Marketplace Farmers Market features locally grown produce and hand made products. It is located in the city lot at 222 East Hancock between the Chevron Golden Pantry and the Huddle House. Free customer parking is available in the top parking area, and additional parking is located in the freshly cut grassy field just behind the lot.

3:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 5 p.m.: The Baldwin County Commissioners Budget Requests Meeting will take place in the Commission Chambers, Suite 319.

5:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County Board of Education meets at the board administrative building, 110 N. ABC Drive.

6 p.m.: The Faith Hope and Love Cancer Support Group for Women meets at Golden Corral, 2600 N. Columbia St. in the Walmart Shopping Center. The meeting is open to cancer patients and survivors. 6 p.m.: Oconee Regional Medical Center’s Diabetes Support Group will meet in the hospital’s Education Center. The featured speaker will be Barry Johns, M.D., Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine, and Clinical Endocrinologist. Topics discussed will include: causes behind diabetes complications, factors that can impact a rise in their HgA1c, who their healthcare team should include, history of diabetes, diabetes depression, what other conditions can impact diabetes. 6:30 p.m.: The Old Capital Car Club meets at IHOP (International House of Pancakes), 2598 N. Columbia St., for dinner followed by the meeting at 7:30 p.m. All auto enthusiasts are invited to attend. (478) 453-7098 or (478) 453-0295.

6:30 p.m.: Milledgeville City Council meets at City Hall.

7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at Vineville Christian Towers to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. (478) 932-5387.
