MILLEDGEVILLE — Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna. Flu vaccines will also be offered in the schools this year. Parents will receive permission slips from their child’s school in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the Haunted Trolley Tour go on sale at 9 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Milledgeville Convention and Visitor Bureau, 200 W. Hancock St.

Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation’s “An Evening in Paris” will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Centennial Center on the GC Campus. Tickets are $125 each and can be purchased by calling (478) 456-9866.

Middle Georgia Art Association is taking submissions for the judged exhibit “Harvest Time.” Entrants must be 18 or older and out of high school. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. For more information, call (478) 744-9557 or e-mail middlegeorgiaart@bellsouth.net.

Saturday, Oct. 6

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Morris-Little American Legion Post 6 will host a “Crafts Bazaar and Bake Sale” at 231 Log Cabin Road. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Annual Auxiliary Christmas Gift Shop at the Georgia War Veterans home. For more information, contact (478) 457-7718.

9 a.m.: Yoga at the Greenway every Saturday morning. Bring a yoga mat and/or towel. All ages welcome. A $1 to $5 donation is appreciated. For more information, call (478) 973-9767.

9 a.m. to noon: The Fall Line Farmers Market is now open every Saturday morning in the parking lot behind First Presbyterian Church, 210 S. Wayne Street rain or shine. More than a dozen middle-Georgia farmers and producers who live in a 100-mile radius of Milledgeville sell a wide selection of naturally grown, seasonal vegetables; grass-fed beef and lamb; heritage breed pork; free-range eggs; hormone-free dairy products including butter and yogurt; artisan bread and cheese; local honey and preserves; baked goods including specialty cakes; perennial plants and more. Come sample, browse and take advantage of the opportunity to meet and talk with folks who are passionate about providing locally grown, delicious food. Children and well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. For more information call (478)414-6433.

3 p.m.: The Readers Book Club meets at Blackbird Coffee downtown to discuss its current selection. Be prepared to suggest or vote on a book for the group to read. The club is free and open to the community.
