June 22 the Kappa League will hold a Karwash/Yard Sale at Century Bank on North Columbia Street. All proceeds from the event will be sent to Moore, Okla. in support of tornado victims.
The Sallie Ellis Davis Cultural Arts Center presents A Credit to the Race: The Presence, Problems and Portrayal of African-Americans at Work. Movies will be shown as part of the event. On June 25 “Nothing But A Man” will be played. On June 27 at 6 p.m. Dr. Mark Huddle will present the Juneteenth Lecture.

Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority has partnered with Z97 to host a free concert open to the Milledgeville community in hopes of providing a fun, family friendly experience. The concert will be held June 22 at Central State Hospital's Pecan Grove. Free Lance Ruckus and Fall Line Ramblers will be performing. The event will begin at 5 and will conclude around 9 p.m. Throughout June the Animal Rescue Foundation Inc. (ARF) will hold a cat adoption special. The adoption fee special is $25 for teenage and adult cats that have been at the shelter since before May 20. ARF is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. ARF is located at 711 S. June 3 - July 19 the Baldwin County Nutrition Department will provide free meals to children. (No meals will be served July 4-5.) The meals will be served at Baldwin High School, Monday - Friday. Breakfast is from 7:30 - 9 a.m. and lunch is from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. A school bus will also deliver and serve lunches throughout the community. 10 and 11:15 a.m.: Learning In Retirement will hold its Board Meeting at the Milledgeville Country Club. Lunch & Learn will follow. The 2013/14 Officers will also be installed. The guest speaker for Lunch & Learn will be Dr. Karen Berman, Director of Theatre at GC. She will speak of her career and experiences working with students and their many achievements at Georgia College. The cost of lunch is $13.
10 a.m. - noon: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 4 to 8 p.m.: The Fall Line Farmers Market will feature free samples of blackberries, blueberries, peaches, peach smoothies and peach ice cream. The market is held on the front lawn of First Presbyterian Church, 201 S. Wayne St. Local farmers and vendors will bring summer produce including vine-ripened tomatoes plus fresh shrimp, home-roasted coffees, raw and creamed honeys, baked goods, farm fresh eggs, arts and crafts. Georgia Bob's BBQ will be on site serving up Barbecue and Chicken Salad "to go" or to enjoy while you linger to hear live music from Hott with Harry Leggs, a Nashville band with local roots, featuring Milledgeville's own Sherry and Shawn Peterson.
