MILLEDGEVILLE — The Morris-Little Post 6 American Legion, 231 Log Cabin Road, will host an auction to benefit the post and all its programs. The auction will begin at 9 a.m. Nov. 16. A community trip to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in Charlotte, N.C. is planned to depart the southside Piggly Wiggly at 8 a.m. Nov. 16. The group will also visit a flea market. For more information contact Sabrina Lee at 478-363-1205, 478-452-6584 or 478-456-5468.

A Pancake Breakfast benefiting Cafe Central will be held Nov. 16 at Longhorn Steakhouse. A plate is $8 and only 175 tickets are available. Contact Michelle Whitlow for a ticket, 706-308-0610.

The GC Max Noah Singers will present an “Empire State Evening” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $7 for GC faculty, staff and seniors, students are permitted for free. All proceeds benefit music scholarships. For more information call 478-445-8289.

The sixth annual Sara Willoughby Memorial Alex's Lemonade Stand will be held Nov. 18-23 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day in the Park Tower lobby at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Proceeds benefit the program which helps fund childhood cancer research.

The Oconee Regional Symphony Orchestra will host a fundraiser at Chick-fil-a Nov. 19 from 5-8 p.m. Members of the orchestra will perform holiday music inside the restaurant.

New Born Faith Cathedral, 111 Hardwick St., will hold a Fall Festival Nov. 22 from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be free food, live music, games and prizes. The festival is free.

A fundraiser benefiting Eugene “Mutt” Taylor will take place Nov. 23 at Foster’s Meat Market, 810 S. Elbert St. from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Barbecue chicken or fish plates will be sold for $7. For more information call 478-251-7493.

Salvation Army needs volunteers for bell ringers this holiday season. For more information contact Millie Day at 478-452-7511.

Friday, Nov. 15

10 and 11:15 a.m.: LIR’s board meeting will be held at the Milledgeville Country Club followed by Lunch and Learn. The speaker will be Darrell Davis, former Laboratory Director for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s South Central in Dallas, Texas. Davis’ topic will be about bringing a STEM regional center to the CSH grounds.
