MILLEDGEVILLE — The Baldwin County Health Department will be closed temporarily for building repairs until further notice.

AARP Foundation TaxAide volunteers will be in the area from Feb. 2 through April 15. To apply visit www.aarp.org/taxaide.

The Oconee Master Gardeners Association and the Putnam County Cooperative Extension invites all interested parties to attend a Feb. 12 class on Gardening with Limitations. This is the second part of a four part series. The class will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Hut, 400A West Marion St., Eatonton. Contact 706-485-4151 to pre-register for the free class. The Baldwin County Republican Party will hold a mass meeting Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at The Cottages at Woodland Terrace, 1010 Fernwood Drive Unit No. 402 for the purposes of electing officers for the vacant positions of chair, second vice chair and treasurer. Monday, Feb. 10

Noon-4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Noon: Fifties Plus meets at the Milledgeville FUMC on Log Cabin Road and is open to everyone. For more information on meetings and lunch call the church office at 478-452-4597.

3 p.m.: Baldwin County Retired Educators board meets at the Baldwin County Board of Education.

4 p.m.: The Baldwin County Board of Registrars holds its monthly meeting in Room 104 of the Baldwin County Courthouse.

4 p.m.: American Legion Morris-Little Auxiliary Unit 6 meets at 231 Log Cabin Rd. All members are urged to attend. For more information call Carrol Griffin, Unit 6 President, at 478-453-0295.

7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Singers Guild will meet at the First United Methodist Church, 366 Log Cabin Road. For more information, or to join, contact Jay Hodges at jayhodges610@yahoo.com.

7 p.m.: BINGO is held at the American Legion on Log Cabin Road. No one under the age of 18 is permitted. Refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary. 478-452-8538

7-8:30 p.m.: Northside Baptist Church, 1001 N. Jefferson St., offers free Citizenship Classes. Free childcare is provided. Contact 478-452-6648.

7:30 p.m.: Milledgeville Jaycees meet at Walter B. Williams Jr. Park.

7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center.
