MILLEDGEVILLE — Golden Corral, 1913 N. Columbia St., will hold a pre-Super Bowl tailgate party with NFL stars Feb. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. Present will be NFL stars James Butler, Leroy Hill and Tye Hill. Two raffles will be held, one for 30 days of free meals and another for a personalized football.

AARP Foundation TaxAide volunteers will be in the area from Feb. 2 through April 15. To apply visit www.aarp.org/taxaide.

The Oconee Master Gardeners Association and the Putnam County Cooperative Extension invites all interested parties to attend a Feb. 12 class on Gardening with Limitations. This is the second part of a four part series. The class will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Hut, 400A West Marion St., Eatonton. Contact 706-485-4151 to pre-register for the free class. Milledgeville Main Street introduces Downtown Dollars, gift certificates to support local businesses. They can be purchased in denominations of $5 and can be used at more than 30 locations downtown. Creekside Elementary is having a winter coat drive and is collecting new and gently used coats for children’s size six and adult small. Please drop off coats at the Communities in Schools office at Creekside or call the coordinator, Mrs. Specht, at 478-456-3127.

The Baldwin County Health Department has flu vaccinations available. For more information contact the Health Department at 478-445-1574.

Monday, Feb. 3

10 a.m.: Oconee Valley Family YMCA meets at People's Bank at Harmony Road and Highway 44.

5:30 p.m.: The BHS School Council will meets in Room 200 Feb. 3.

7:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference meets at American Legion Post 523.

Noon-4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. For information or to volunteer call 478-457-2124.

7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Singers Guild will meet at the First United Methodist Church, 366 Log Cabin Road. For more information, or to join, contact Jay Hodges at jayhodges610@yahoo.com.

7 p.m.: BINGO is held at the American Legion on Log Cabin Road. No one under the age of 18 is permitted. Refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary. 478-452-8538

7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center.

7-8:30 p.m.: Northside Baptist Church, 1001 N. Jefferson St., offers free Citizenship Classes. Free childcare is provided. Contact 478-452-6648.
