MILLEDGEVILLE — Helms Career Institute in Milledgeville (located behind the mall) will hold a Career and Health Fair June 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. The public is invited.

The Baldwin County Nutrition Department will provide free meals to children during the summer June 2-July 25 (no meals will be served July 4). Summer meals will be served at two locations: GNETS, 1300 B. Orchard Hill Road, and BHS, 155 Highway 49 West. Breakfast will be from 7-8 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch will be delivered to the following sites: Graham Homes, 11 a.m.; Pine Knoll Apartments, 11:25 a.m.; Duplex City, 11:45 a.m.; River Bend Apartments, 12:10 p.m.; The Manor, 12:40 p.m.; Finnagan’s Mobile Home Park, 1:05 p.m.; 5th Street Mobile Home Park, 1:30 p.m.; Lockwood Mobile Home Park, 1:50 p.m.

Thursday, June 5

10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Noon: The Rotary meets at the Country Club.

Noon: The Eatonton Kiwanis Club meets at Central Georgia Tech on the James Marshall bypass.

1 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center at Madison Avenue in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.

2-5 p.m.: Free HIV testing at 900 Barrows Ferry Road. 478-445-5518.

4 p.m.: The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Unification Study Committee will meet in the CSH Powell Building in the fourth floor conference room.

4:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County Chapter of the Fort Valley State Alumni Association meets at the public service building at the Milledgeville Police Department.

6:30 p.m.: The Milledgeville Area Patriots will host several candidates, including: Jody Hice, Mike Collins and three representatives for David Perdue. Each candidate will be presented with five prepared questions with five minutes to answer. The meeting will be at Victory Baptist Church, 630 Meriwether Road. The meeting is open to the public.

7:30 p.m.: Lake Country Twirlers is a square dance club that meets at the Harmony Association Building on Highway 44. Everyone is invited to come by, meet members, enjoy refreshments and see what fun square dancing can be. For more information call 706-468-5090 or visit www.LCTwirlers.groupsite.com.

7:30 p.m.: Bingo is held at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Refreshments will be sold. 478-452-1611.
