MILLEDGEVILLE — DNR will offer free boating safety to all boaters in the Lake Sinclair area. Classes will be held at the Sinclair Marina, 170 Sinclair Marina Road, 478-451-0167. Classes will be offered May 19-20 from 6-9 p.m. For information on pre-registration contact the Region 4 DNR Law Enforcement Office, 2618 Shurling Drive, Macon, 478-751-6415.

The third annual Ingram Memorial 5k Run/Walk will be held at the CSH campus in the pecan orchard. The event will begin at 8 a.m. For information contact Barbara Ingram Stone, bingram1st@yahoo.com or 360-909-1739. The website for the event is www.meltingram.com. Registration begins at 6:30. The registration fee is now $25. The event is a fundraiser to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and to support the Bill Ingram Jr. and Lt. Col. (Ret.) Ingram USMC Scholarship Fund.

The seventh annual Family Fun Day presented by Tracy Harper Productions will be held May 31 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Pecan Grove at Central State Hospital. The event will have free food and drinks as well as free games. There will also be a waterslide, a clown and music. Prizes will be given away. For information contact Tracy Harper 478-454-7556.

The YES Program is taking applications for the Baldwin High School Summer YES Program (June 2-26, Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-noon) for all rising ninth grade students. Applications are available at the front office of Baldwin High School or by e-mailing julie.cook@gcsu.edu. Enrollment is limited. No transportation will be provided.

7:30 a.m.: Lake Oconee Promise Keepers meets at The River of Life center on Scott Road. Jack Minchey 706-473-0431.

Noon: Baldwin County Retired Educator’s general membership will meet at the First Presbyterian Church. This meeting will be a spring covered dish luncheon. The program will be by the newly elected GREA President. Please bring a canned food item, a donation or school supplies, dimes, volunteer hours, Boxtops for Education, clothes size four, five and six and a door prize for the drawings.

Noon: Milledgeville Exchange Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club.

Noon-4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. For information or to volunteer call 478-457-2124.

5 p.m.: The Sinclair Water Authority meets at 126 Cay Drive, Milledgeville.

6:30 p.m.: The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 523 meets at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Drive.

7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Singers Guild will meet at the First United Methodist Church, 366 Log Cabin Road. For more information, or to join, contact Jay Hodges at jayhodges610@yahoo.com.

7 p.m.: BINGO is held at the American Legion on Log Cabin Road. No one under the age of 18 is permitted. Refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary. 478-452-8538

7-8:30 p.m.: Northside Baptist Church, 1001 N. Jefferson St., offers free Citizenship Classes. Free childcare is provided. Contact 478-452-6648.

7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center.
