1 to 4 p.m.: “Images From Travel, Near and Far” is an exhibition of new works by photographer David Veal that will open at the Marlor House, 201 N. Wayne St., Milledgeville. The public is invited to meet the artist and view his works at the opening reception.
2 p.m.: Memory Hill Cemetery will host a “Ramble” to explore the symbolism and history within the cemetery. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children. Estimated “Ramble” time is 1 1/2 hours. For more information, call (478) 452-9758 or visit friendsofcems.org.
2 to 5 p.m.: Milledgeville Main Street will host a downtown clean-up. Come join Main Street, community leaders, volunteers and business owners to help keep downtown Milledgeville beautiful. This will be a great opportunity to get involved and give back to your local community. The event will consist of cleaning the alleyways and areas behind the downtown buildings. Volunteers will meet at the Milledgeville Main Street office located at 127 E. Hancock St. and are encouraged to bring gloves, shovels and rakes to the event.
