MILLEDGEVILLE — A mobile mammography center will be at Belk June 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free mammograms will be offered to the community to spread breast cancer awareness. For more information call 478-452-5572 ext. 210. To make an appointment call 855-655-2662.

Allied Arts will sponsor a watercolor workshop for adults taught by Dana Wiggins June 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Allen’s Market Building, 101 W. McIntosh St. The registration fee is $65. For more information, to register, or otherwise call 478-452-3950. A beginners photography workshop will be offered July 14-17 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The cost is $65 and Dana Wiggins will be the instructor.

A nutrition class intended for parents, grandparents and caregivers will be held June 21 starting at 10 a.m. at the Collins P. Lee Community Center. The class will be taught by Dr. Valerie Walker of Oconee Primary Care and will discuss the benefits of healthy eating. There will also be information on other health topics including basic first-aid and car seat safety. The event is hosted by Baldwin Family Connection in collaboration with ORMC.

The Baldwin County Nutrition Department will provide free meals to children during the summer June 2-July 25 (no meals will be served July 4). Summer meals will be served at two locations: GNETS, 1300 B. Orchard Hill Road, and BHS, 155 Highway 49 West. Breakfast will be from 7-8 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch will be delivered to the following sites: Graham Homes, 11 a.m.; Pine Knoll Apartments, 11:25 a.m.; Duplex City, 11:45 a.m.; River Bend Apartments, 12:10 p.m.; The Manor, 12:40 p.m.; Finnagan’s Mobile Home Park, 1:05 p.m.; 5th Street Mobile Home Park, 1:30 p.m.; Lockwood Mobile Home Park, 1:50 p.m.

7:30 a.m.: Lake Oconee Promise Keepers meets at The River of Life center on Scott Road. Jack Minchey 706-473-0431.

10 a.m.: The American Legion “Davis Watson” Post 237, Hardwick, meets in the Birdsong Recreation Building at the Georgia War Veterans Home, 2249 Vinson Hwy. S.E. All Legion members are urged to attend. For more information call John W. Griffin, Sixth District Commander, at 478-453-0295.

10:30 a.m.: Drs. Julian Nussbaum and Stephanie Goei will speak about the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. The event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Nussbaum is the Chair of the Ophthalmology Dept. at the Regents University and Dr. Goei is director of Pediatric Ophthalmology Services at Regents University. 10:30 a.m.-noon: Free computer classes for seniors will be held at the Senior Citizens Center in Baldwin County.

Noon: Milledgeville Exchange Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club.

Noon: The John Milledge Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, meet at the Milledgeville Country Club.

1 p.m.: Falun Gong exercise class will be held at Central City Park (formerly Bonner Park) free of charge. Cultivate mind and body with five sets of easy-to-learn exercises good for all ages and all physical conditions. For more information call 478-453-4241.

5 p.m.: The Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority meets at the Powell Building on the CSH campus.

6 p.m.: The Oconee Regional Medical Center/Oconee Regional Health Systems, Inc. Board meets in the Administrative Suite Board Room.

6-8 p.m.: Northside Baptist Church, 1001 N. Jefferson St., offers free English lessons for non-English speakers. Free childcare is provided. Contact 478-452-6648.
