MILLEDGEVILLE — The sixth annual Sara Willoughby Memorial Alex's Lemonade Stand will be held Nov. 18-23 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day in the Park Tower lobby at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Proceeds benefit the program which helps fund childhood cancer research.

The Oconee Regional Symphony Orchestra will host a fundraiser at Chick-fil-a Nov. 19 from 5-8 p.m. Members of the orchestra will perform holiday music inside the restaurant.

The Milledgeville Community Garden Association invites the public to attend the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Lucille Harris Community Garden and Solomon Harris Walking Trail located at 237 Harrisburg Road (site of the Collins P. Lee Center).  Wear your walking shoes and participate in the Community Walk on the quarter-mile trail afterwards.

New Born Faith Cathedral, 111 Hardwick St., will hold a Fall Festival Nov. 22 from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be free food, live music, games and prizes. The festival is free.

A fundraiser benefiting Eugene “Mutt” Taylor will take place Nov. 23 at Foster’s Meat Market, 810 S. Elbert St. from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Barbecue chicken or fish plates will be sold for $7. For more information call 478-251-7493.

A free Let’s Be Thankful Luncheon will be held at the Collins P. Lee Center Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. Food will be served until it’s gone. The sponsors are Betty Reeves and Denise Veal.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym.

11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering call 478-453-4400.

11 a.m.: The public is invited to attend a weekly meeting at the Collins P. Lee Center at 237 Harrisburg Road to discuss plans for the Lucille Harris Community Garden and Solomon Harris Walking Trail, as well as to hear updates about efforts by the Parks & Recreation Dept., Milledgeville Community Garden Association, Baldwin Family Connection and the Habitat for Humanity Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. Noon: The Grumman Retiree Club Peach Pit Chapter meets at Golden Corral.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

3-6 p.m.: Milledgeville Marketplace Farmers Market features locally grown produce and hand made products. It is located in the city lot at 222 E. Hancock between the Chevron Golden Pantry and the Huddle House. Free customer parking is available in the top parking area, and additional parking is located in the freshly cut grassy field just behind the lot.

3:30-4:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County Healthcare Coalition meets in the Education Room at ORMC, 821 N. Cobb St.

5:15 p.m.: Milledgeville City Council meets in city hall executive chambers for a work session.

6 p.m.: The County Commission meets in the Baldwin County Courthouse in Room 319.

7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at St. Peter Claver auditorium in Macon to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. 478-335-3010.

7:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County chapter of the NAACP meets at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church.
