MILLEDGEVILLE — Events and meetings scheduled for the day.

Saturday, Aug. 3

9 a.m.-noon: The Milledgeville Lions Club will have a yard sale at Firestone Complete Auto Care, 1890 N. Columbia St. All funds raised will be used for sight, hearing and other local projects assisted by the Lions Club.

9 a.m.: A yoga class taught by Xan Nichols is held at the Oconee River Greenway. Bring a yoga mat and/or towel as well as bug spray. All ages welcome. $3/1 hour session.

9 a.m.-noon: The Greenway Farmers Market is held at the Oconee River Greenway, Highway 22 East.

10 a.m.-3 p.m.: The Gordon Woman's Club Fleamarket will be held at 110 College St., Gordon. The cafe will be open and serving barbecue as well as desserts. There will be furniture, gadgets, clothes, etc. Vendor spaces are available for $5, call 478-233-3003.

Noon-2 p.m.: Have a Heart Save a Life will host a meet and great bake sale inside Tractor Supply. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and accepted. If anyone would like to donate baked goods for the bake sale please contact Olivia Backs at olivia.backs@bobcats.gcsu.edu or 706-410-7914. Baked good donations will also be accepted the day of the bake sale at Tractor Supply. For questions about HAHSAL please contact Valerie Buckley at vbuckley@wildblue.net or call 478-232-8155.

3 p.m.: The Readers Book Club meets at the Milledgeville Mall food court to discuss its current selection. Be prepared to suggest or vote on a book for the group to read. The club is free and open to the community. For more information contact Jeff Taylor at 478-454-4206.

7:30-10:30 p.m.: Ballroom Dancing held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flannery O'Connor Hall at 110 N. Jefferson St. Admission is $5. Dancers of all levels gather monthly at this alcohol and smoke-free event. For more information contact Carol Melder at 478-453-3345.
