MILLEDGEVILLE — JMA and Five O’Clock Somewhere Bar-B-Que are sponsoring a softball double header at 4 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the JMA softball fields. The event is family friendly and is to support National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds from the event will go to CURE Childhood Cancer, an Atlanta based organization. Mark the Magic Man will host two shows on Sept. 14 at the W.E. Knox Civic Center, Gray, at 3 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and VIP tickets are available. Proceeds will benefit the Help Camden Foundation.

Rep. Paul Broun will host a Military Academy Day on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m.-noon in the Old Georgia Capitol Building of Georgia Military College. The event is free and open to students grades eight through twelve. Monday, Sept. 9

Noon-4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists building at Oconee Regional Medical Center. Noon: Fifties Plus meets at the Milledgeville FUMC on Log Cabin Road and is open to everyone. For more information on meetings and lunch, call the church office at 478-452-4597.

4 p.m.: American Legion Morris-Little Auxiliary Unit 6 meets at 231 Log Cabin Rd. All members are urged to attend. For more information call Carrol Griffin, Unit 6 President, at 478-453-0295.

4 p.m.: The Baldwin County Board of Registrars holds its monthly meeting in Room 104 of the Baldwin County Courthouse.

5-7 p.m.: Mary Vinson Memorial Library and Digital Bridges host a Computer Clinic at the Library, 151 S. Jefferson St. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. 6:30 p.m.: Sinclair Christian Academy will host Open House in its Sanctuary with an Ice Cream Social to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
