MILLEDGEVILLE — Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna. Flu vaccines will also be offered in the schools this year. Parents will receive permission slips from their child’s school in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the Haunted Trolley Tour go on sale at 9 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Milledgeville Convention and Visitor Bureau, 200 W. Hancock St.

Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation’s “An Evening in Paris” will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Centennial Center on the GC Campus. Tickets are $125 each and can be purchased by calling (478) 456-9866.

Middle Georgia Art Association is taking submissions for the judged exhibit “Harvest Time.” Entrants must be 18 or older and out of high school. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. For more information, call (478) 744-9557 or e-mail middlegeorgiaart@bellsouth.net.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

7:30 a.m.: Lake Oconee Promise Keepers meets at The River of Life center on Scott Road. Jack Minchey (706) 473-0431.

10:30 a.m. to noon: Free computer classes for seniors will be held at the Senior Citizens Center in Baldwin County.

Noon: Milledgeville Exchange Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club.

1 p.m.: Falun Gong exercise class will be held at Central City Park (formerly Bonner Park) free of charge. Cultivate mind and body with 5 sets of easy-to-learn exercises good for all ages and all physical conditions. For more information, call (478) 453-4241.

1 to 3 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 2:45 p.m.: GMC will rededicate a monument and tree in memory of Jill Stewart. The tree is being moved from Jenkins Hall to Usery Hall. Anyone who remembers Jill or knows the family is invited to be a part of this ceremony.
