MILLEDGEVILLE — The Old Governor’s Mansion presents its Christmas at the Mansion tours Dec. 3-23. Candlelight tours will feature the First Baptist Church Handbell Choir (Dec. 19).

Milledgeville Main Street introduces Downtown Dollars, gift certificates to support local businesses. They can be purchased in denominations of $5 and can be used at more than 30 locations downtown. The 2012 Georgia River of Words exhibition is open and available for viewing from now until early December at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library, 151 S. Jefferson St. River of Words is an international environmental poetry and arts project that is coordinated by Georgia Project WET and the Georgia Center for the Book. The 5 p.m. meeting of the Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority scheduled for today has been cancelled.
