MILLEDGEVILLE — Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation's Samuel M. Goodrich, M.D., Endowed Healthcare Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 academic year. Application packets have been sent to area colleges and universities that offer degrees in healthcare fields of study. Scholarships will be made in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 for the academic year. Applications for the Scholarship Fund can be obtained by visiting www.oconeeregional.com and clicking on the “Foundation” tab.

The Lake Oconee Bible Bee is excited to announce the beginning of the 5th Bible Bee season. Family registration runs from April 1 through May 31, and study materials will be released on June 1. The Lake Oconee Bible Bee will be holding monthly fun family activities in preparation for the local contest, which will be held on August 24 at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church. The competition challenges youth from ages seven to 18 years in Bible knowledge and memorization first at local contests held around the country at the end of August, and then at a National Competition held in November for the top 300 contestants from across the nation. 10 a.m. to noon: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge.
