The Georgia Department of Natural Resources invites people around the state to “Go For Free, Georgia” by offering free admission to all state parks and historical sites, free fishing on all public waters in the state, free kids’ fishing events and free Outdoor Adventure Days at various locations. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The American Cancer Society conducts Reach to Recovery Volunteer Certification in the Education Center at Oconee Regional Medical Center, 821 N. Cobb St. Anyone who has had breast cancer and wants to share their experience with someone recently diagnosed with the disease is invited to become a volunteer. Lunch is provided. 10 a.m.: Baldwin County surplus sale will be held at the Public Works Department on Linda Drive.
Noon and 2 p.m.: Jeanette Waddell, Professional Storyteller, performs a tribute to Johnny Mercer during Museum Day at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon.

Noon to 4 p.m.: Harriet’s Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open in Room 413 of Oconee Regional Medical Center. A free Mary Kay consultation is available for cancer patients during Closet hours by appointment only. Carol Griffin (478) 453-0295.
2 to 7 p.m.: Wilkinson County Community Blood Drive will be held at the Gordon United Methodist Church Social Hall at 130 Main Street in Gordon. 5:30 p.m.: Milledgeville-Baldwin County Development Authority meets in the Chamber of Commerce office.
6 p.m.: “The Mourning After” a bereavement group sponsored by Hospice Care Options and the GCSU Psychology Department is held in room 1-15 in the GCSU Arts and Sciences Building. The event is free and open to the public. (478) 453-8572

7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center. Round dancing begins at 6:30 p.m.
7:30 p.m.: Milledgeville Jaycees meet at Walter B. Williams Jr. Park.
