MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Taking

An employee of a Gordon Highway used car dealership reported the theft of an air conditioning unit July 8. Police observed the open window where the unit had been taken. All other windows and doors were secure.  

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a fight on Allen Memorial Drive at approximately 3:30 p.m. July 8. The complainant stated that when she was walking down the street to her friend’s house, she was approached by another female who began yelling at her. She tried ignoring her but the woman attacked her, hitting her in the back with a drink can that she was holding at the time of the altercation.

Fraud

A man reported fraudulent purchases made on an account with Verizon Wireless by an unauthorized person. When checking on his bank account, he noticed a total of $1,864.58 worth of transactions on his account to Verizon Wireless.

Aggravated Assault

Officers were dispatched to a North Liberty Street address July 6 in reference to an aggravated assault call. Upon arrival, officers were met by a man who stated that another man hit him with a stick on the back of his hand.

Theft of Service

A store clerk at an East Green Street convenience store reported the theft of gas by a female at approximately 9:20 p.m. July 3. The woman was seen pumping gas into her vehicle and driving away without paying.
