A man reported that June 29 he received legal documents from his attorney that contained a forged signature.
He told deputies that while going through some documents he received from his divorce attorney he observed some inconsistencies in the paperwork. He noticed a deed, which he did not sign, but contained his signature.
Theft by taking
Deputies were dispatched to a Vinson Highway address July 2 in reference to a stolen A/C unit fuse.
The complainant stated that she believed her landlord took the service disconnect switch from the disconnect box that powers the A/C unit.
Deputies were dispatched to an Ivey Drive address in reference to a dog bite that occurred July 2. The complainant said that her son was bitten by a dog while riding his bike around the trailer park. Deputies observed several small scratches to the child’s right leg.
Milledgeville Police Department
Officers were dispatched to a Long Leaf Trail residence June 30 in reference to a possible burglary. The complainant stated that upon returning home, she found the back door ajar. Officers noticed tool marks, possibly from a flathead screwdriver, along the door and frame. No items were reported missing from the residence.
Theft by taking
An employee of the City of Milledgeville reported the theft of city property July 2. The employee reported that between 5 p.m. June 28 and 7 a.m. July 1 three city American flags were stolen off the northeast and southeast corners of the Wilkinson and Greene street intersection.
A woman reported that someone at an address in Alabama cashed her social security check. The woman told officers that when she went to the Social Security office in Milledgeville to check on her money, she was informed that her check had been cashed at a St. Gulf Shores bank in Alabama.
