Deputies were dispatched to a Coombs Avenue residence Sept. 8 in reference to a burglary. The complainant stated that someone broke into his secured garage and stole two generators. It appeared as if someone stuck his or her hand in between the small space between the garage doors and removed the nuts and bolts from the back to gain entry into the garage.

Theft by Taking

An employee of an Allen Memorial Drive grocery store reported the theft of his cell phone Sept. 7. While working on one of the aisles, stocking merchandise on the shelves, the complainant was called to the front of the store to help bag groceries. He left his Droid mini cell phone on a box of eggs. When he returned he discovered that the phone was missing.

Entering Auto

Deputies were dispatched to a Horne Avenue residence Sept. 10 in reference to stolen items from a vehicle. The complainant stated that his car was in the process of having a transmission installed, but the person working on the vehicle was in the hospital. When he went to check on the vehicle, he noticed that the vehicle was locked, but the back right door was open. Several miscellaneous items that the complainant stored in the back seat of the car was reported missing. 

Nuisance Animal

A deputy was dispatched to a Peaceful Cove address Sept. 10 in reference to a nuisance animal. The complainant informed the deputy that his neighbor’s two pit bull dogs attacked his Australian shepherd and killed it. He stated that while attempting to put a leash on his dog, the two pit bulls ran into his driveway and began mauling his dog.
