MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office


A resident of Little Road reported Oct. 21 that his home was entered. He reported that two suits, a reading tablet, two rings, clothing accessories, a bag containing approximately $300 in change and an amplifier had been stolen. Officers noted that a window lock had been broken.

Financial Transaction Fraud

An individual reported Oct. 21 that a fraudulent charge of $105.95 was debited to his account from a Publix in Atlanta.


An individual reported Oct. 21 that she had been sent a forged check from a company stating she had won $4,979.30. The check and the company were fraudulent.

Theft by Taking

A property owner on Sparta Highway reported Oct. 21 that a Rheem 2.5-ton heat pump and AC unit valued at $3,500 had been stolen from his land, the wires cut to the unit. The power had also been turned off to the property and food items in an outside freezer spoiled.
