MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. Milledgeville Police Department
A business on North Jefferson Street reported a counterfeit $50 bill Nov. 23.
A county department reported Nov. 23 that a window on the front of its building on Heritage Road was broken open.
Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident
An 89-year-old woman reported Nov. 24 that she had been struck by a vehicle while in a parking lot on the southside of town.
A resident of Redding Road reported Nov. 24 that he found a bullet on the ground after he heard a shattering noise and discovered his window broken.
Officers reported to an apartment complex on West Franklin Street Nov. 24 and found several chairs placed inside a firepit.
Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement
An individual was arrested and charged with two counts of battery of an officer, two counts of felony obstruction, public intoxication and disorderly conduct Nov. 24. He swung at an officer after being detained and had to be forcibly handcuffed. Bystanders assisted.
Two individuals were arrested for criminal trespass and giving a false name and date of birth to officers Nov. 24. Officers approached a car full of people parked at a residential area on Lincoln Street. The officers spoke with the individuals in the car and two of the five people provided false names and dates of birth, both lied because they were trespassed from the property.
