MILLEDGEVILLE — Criminal Damage to Property

An officer was dispatched to a South Wayne Street address at approximately 2:53 a.m. Aug. 17 in reference to criminal damage to property. The complainant stated that she picked up two men in her cab around the area of South Jackson Street and West Greene Street. The two men wanted to go to the lake, but did not want to pay the $30 cab fee. They attempted to negotiate a lower fee with the cab driver. When she refused to lower the rate, the two men became angry and began yelling obscenities. After looking for an officer downtown, one of the men in the front seat of the cab opened the door and jumped out. The other, who was in the back seat, pulled on the door handle so hard that it broke off.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of her car tag from her vehicle while it was parked at her West Charlton Court residence Aug. 19. The complainant stated that when she walked outside the morning of Aug. 19 she noticed that her car tag, which is usually displayed on the rear of her vehicle, was missing.

Fraud-Financial Transaction

A woman reported an illegal transaction on her Visa business card Aug. 17. According to the complainant, a false transaction of $5.95 was made to her business card from a location in California. Another attempt was recorded for the same day out of the same location, but was stopped before the charge was finalized.

Disorderly Conduct

Officers were dispatched to a Roberson Mill Road restaurant Aug. 18 in reference to a male subject being disorderly. One of the employees stated that the man was harassing the other customers and trying to start a fight.
