MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department


An individual reported March 10 that someone used her personal and financial information to falsely file her 2013 tax return.

Criminal Trespass

A Shelby Lane resident reported March 10 that an unknown person or persons broke a window pane and moved the screens on two outside windows of her home.

Theft by Taking

A man reported March 11 that after hosting two people in his home two vacuum cleaners went missing.


An individual reported March 12 that someone falsely used his checking account to make $189.45 worth of purchases.

Criminal Trespass

A vehicle owner reported March 12 that someone broke out several windows of his van while it was parked at a North Columbia Street business.

Theft by Taking

A man reported March 13 that when he went to pick up several pieces of his property from a Grandview Drive residence his wallet and a pistol were missing.

Simple Battery

A woman was confronted about shoplifting from a North Columbia Street business March 13. While holding an infant, the woman pushed an employee who confronted her about the shoplifting incident. The woman eventually handed the child to another person and then hit and kicked the employee. She then ran off. Arrest warrants for theft by shoplifting, simple battery and reckless conduct were taken in her name.
