MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

Pointing a Gun at Another

A man reported Feb. 19 that while on Pennington Road someone driving in front of him stopped in the middle of the road and then got out of the car before pulling a pistol and aiming it at his vehicle.

Criminal Damage to Property

A Cobb Road resident reported Feb. 19 that someone had broken two of the decorative lights on his property.


An individual reported Feb. 19 that when he attempted to file taxes locally he was informed that his social security number had already been used to file. The IRS informed him the fraud had occurred in Arizona.


A Harbour Point resident reported Feb. 19 that someone entered his home, damaged his assault rifle and accessed his computer.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported that a vehicle on her deceased husband's property was stolen Feb. 20.

Disorderly Conduct

A business owner reported that a customer verbally abused and threatened workers while they were at his home on a service call.

Criminal Damage to Property

A Little Road property owner reported Feb. 20 that tenants in her mobile home abandoned the property extremely damaged and unsanitary.


Officers initiated a traffic stop Feb. 19 after seeing a vehicle use its hazard lights repeatedly to switch lanes. The officers could detect the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a consensual search of the vehicle the officers located marijuana, methamphetamine, Loratab and a digital scale. Two juveniles in the vehicle were turned over to family while the driver was arrested and charged with the following: possession of methamphetamine, no working turn signals, narcotics not in the original container, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of a controlled narcotic.

Criminal Damage to Property

An individual reported that someone put sugar in their vehicle’s gas tank while it was parked on Oconee Street.
