MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

— Entering Auto

A man was reported trying to take a customer’s vehicle from the parking lot of a business on North Columbia Street around 11 p.m.  Sept. 20. Cash in change was taken from the vehicle.

— Burglary

A man reported a break-in at a South Wayne Street business sometime before Sept. 21. The owner reported cash and office equipment missing.   

— Robbery

A store clerk from a convenience store on South Wayne Street reported a male reached over the counter and took money from the register sometime before 10 p.m. Sept. 20.

— Robbery

A store clerk from a convenience store on West Hancock Street reported a male reached over the counter and grabbed an unknown amount of cash around 2:15 p.m. Sept. 21. The male was identified in a previous convenience store robbery.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department

— Burglary

A man at a Highway 49 residence reported an unknown person entering his home without permission. Items including $100 in cash, pain medications, three pocket knives and a pair of binoculars were taken from the residence sometime between Sept. 19 and Sept. 20. The case remains active.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported a wedding ring with a loose diamond had been taken from a jewelry box from his Hunter Drive residence around 10 a.m Sept. 19.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported that another man came onto his Allen Memorial Drive property and took a Power Wheels Four Wheeler around 8 p.m. Sept. 19. The case has been cleared.

— Financial Identity Fraud

A woman reported unauthorized use of her bank account at a local convenience store over the past two months totaling more than $300 Sept. 21.

— Burglary

A man at a Belfair Drive residence reported an unknown person entered his home between Sept. 18- Sept. 19 between midnight and 1 a.m. Items taken from the home include a 32-inch flat screen TV, an iPad and gold jewelry.

— Theft by Receiving Stolen Property

A woman reported the theft of her laptop computer from her Pierce Johnson Road home sometime Sept. 20.  The computer was recovered at a garage sale.
