MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Milledgeville Police Department
Four men were arrested Nov. 10 for possession of marijuana less than one ounce. Officers approached the men where they were seated in a parked car and began to speak with them. The officers could detect the scent of marijuana and asked the individuals if they had been smoking. They admitted they had and turned over a marijuana cigarette and paraphernalia.
A man reported Nov. 10 that the tag on his vehicle had been bent while it was parked on West Franklin Street. Officers noted that several other tags in the same location were also bent.
Officers responded to an apartment complex on East McIntosh Street Nov. 10 and arrested and individual for criminal trespass after he kicked down the door to a dwelling.
Theft by Taking
A woman reported Nov. 10 that someone stole $20 from her purse while she was seeing a client at her job on Allen Road.
A camper owner reported Nov. 11 that someone had entered his property without his permission while it was parked on North Wayne Street.
A homeowner reported Nov. 11 that someone he knew kicked his space heater and put a hole in the wall behind it when she was asked to leave.
A homeowner on Brantley Way reported Nov. 11 that his neighbor threatened to beat and kill him.
An individual involved in an accident Nov. 11 has had a warrant taken out in his name. He fled the scene of the collision on foot. The warrant includes charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle, no insurance, duty to report and accident with injuries or property damage, failure to yield while turning left and reckless driving.
