A man reported fraudulent charges on his Capital City Bank Card during the month of July. Upon checking his statement, he discovered that between July 15 and July 28 a person fraudulently used his bank card for financial transactions in Texas, Illinois, and the Altanta-Metro area.
Criminal damage to property
A man reported damage to his air conditioning unit July 29 by unknown person. At approximately 3 a.m. in the morning, he woke up to the sound of his dog barking in the yard. Upon investigation, he discovered that someone attempted to steal his air conditioning unit but damaged it instead.
Theft by taking
Deputies were dispatched to a Log Cabin Road apartment around 7:39 p.m. July 29 in reference to the theft of a wallet. The complainant stated that between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., someone took her wallet from her purse. She told the deputies that she believed it happened during a visit to a friend’s apartment at Georgetown Village.
Deputies were dispatched to an Irwinton Road address July 25 in reference to an entering auto call. The owner of the vehicle told officers that when he left his vehicle at his brother-in-law’s home, someone broke into his car. When he returned to the car July 25, he discovered that someone had removed the in-dash stereo and under the seat amplifier.
A man at a Lakecrest Drive address reported an unknown person on his property without permission between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. July 29. He observed cellophane wrapping around his vehicle as well as some type of breakfast cereal lying on the car.
Deputies were dispatched to an Allen Memorial Drive address July 30 in reference to credit/debit card fraud. Upon arrival, they met with the complainant who stated that someone gained access to his bank account and withdrew $1,231.48. The print out of the bank account showed five separate withdrawals from a Wal-Mart in Malvern, Ark.
