Theft of Service
An employee of Tri-County EMC reported the theft of electric service by the owners of a Little Road residence between May 1 and May 7. The employee stated that he believes someone has been tampering with the power meter, which has made it difficult to correctly register the power usage of the home. Upon investigation, he noticed a plastic lock on the meter had small holes drilled into it so someone could take it on and off.
A woman reported a break-in at her Ellis Street residence sometime between 8:06 p.m. and 8:21 p.m. May 10. Upon entering the residence, she noticed that her daughter’s insulin was missing from an ice chest in the kitchen. The door to the home was secure and there were no signs of forced entry.
