MILLEDGEVILLE — Criminal Damage to Property

A woman at a Blake Circle address reported damage to her vehicle by a juvenile sometime between 6 and 6:30 a.m. May 7. According to the woman, she was at the bus stop with her child and saw a female juvenile standing behind her car then run away. Upon investigation she noticed a long scratch mark on her right rear bumper.

Simple Battery

Deputies were dispatched to a group home May 8 in reference to an assault. Upon arrival they made contact with the complainant who stated that a client reported to her that he was assaulted by another client. When questioning the man about the assault, he told deputies that he purchased a pack of cigarettes for the man, to do something nice for him, but when he handed him the cigarettes the other man got upset. He flipped over a table on top of the other man and started kicking his legs.

Nuisance Dogs

Deputies were dispatched to a Meriwether Road address at approximately 1:36 p.m. May 11 in reference to several dogs attacking a cat. A woman, one of the owners of the cat, told officers that she heard sounds of the dogs outside the residence and alerted her husband and her mother, who were asleep. Upon investigation, the man found three or four dogs attacking their cat. The cat suffered a wound on its back and it appeared to have broken its back as well. The man told officers that he believed the dogs belonged to a neighbor down the road who kept the dogs in the yard without being contained by a fence or on a leash.
