MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by shoplifting

An employee of a North Jefferson Street convenience store reported the theft of a beer by a man around 3:36 p.m. April 23. The man was with another individual who was pumping gas at the time of the incident. When the other male came into the store to pay for the gas, the man went to the cooler, took a beer and concealed it in his pants.


Officers were dispatched to an Anthony Way apartment April 22 in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, a woman informed officers that she found an unknown male breaking into the front door of her apartment. When she went to investigate the sound, the man saw her and threw a shelf at her.  

Theft by shoplifting

An employee of a North Columbia Street clothing store reported the theft of merchandise by a female April 17. The woman attempted to walk out of the store and set off the security alarm. The employee searched her purse and found several items of clothing folded up and hidden in different compartments.  

Theft by taking

A man reported the theft of his toolbox from his vehicle around 11 a.m. April 17. While stopping at Lowe’s to pick up some supplies the man noticed that the tailgate of his truck was pulled down. Upon further inspection he discovered that his work toolbox was missing.
