The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Possession of Cocaine
While patrolling the area of Sparta Highway April 22, a deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in front of St. Mary's Church. When the officer pulled into the parking lot, the car attempted to drive away. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the officer asked the driver and passenger why they were parked at the church and the driver answered that they were having problems and came to the parking lot to pray. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered a small plastic baggie containing what was believed to be cocaine and two small glass pipes.
Deputies were dispatched to a Valley Road address at approximately 6:02 a.m. April 23 in reference to a call of criminal trespass. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the owner of the property who reported finding several egg shells lying on the ground along with dried egg on her vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to a Moran Springs Road address April 23 in reference to a burglary. The owner of the home reported to police that when he returned to his home around 7 p.m. he discovered multiple firearms with ammunition missing from the residence. A box of Magtech 44 caliber ammunition was opened and laying on the floor near the front door.
