MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Milledgeville Police Department
Financial Transaction Fraud
A woman reported to the police department that two unauthorized transactions were made on her debit card. Both transactions took place July 15 at an East Hancock Street convenience store. One was for an ATM cash withdrawal for $22 and the second was a withdrawal for $62.
Theft by Shoplifting
A store manager at a North Columbia Street department store reported the theft of merchandise by a man occurring July 14. According to the manager, she saw a man pick up a bag of charcoal and leave without paying. He was seen getting into a white Honda.
Criminal Damage to Property
Police were called to a Beaumont Circle residence July 15 in reference to two vehicles damaged on the property. The owner told police that she noticed that her 2010 Jetta and her 1992 Honda Accord had been scratched. They appeared to have been keyed by a sharp object. Officers observed scratches on the sides, trunk and hood of both vehicles. One car had a derogatory name scratched on the hood.
