Theft by Taking
A deputy was dispatched to a Coopers Road address May 24 in reference to a theft. The man stated that his five-gallon gas can full of gasoline was stolen from underneath his barn. He also discovered that the gasoline from inside his tractor had been siphoned out as well.
Milledgeville Police Department
Theft by Taking
A woman reported the theft of personal items from a man standing behind her in line at a North Columbia Street department store. She told the officer that on May 23, while standing in the checkout line, the man behind her stole her phone, debit card, driver's license and $900 in cash. After speaking with the woman, the officer contacted the store manager who provided video surveillance of the incident. The officer observed the man take the woman's Samsung Galaxy 3 phone off the counter and exit the store.
Theft by Shoplifting
Police reported to the Milledgeville Mall May 24 in reference to a shoplifting incident by two females. Upon arrival officers spoke with an employee of a mall jewelry store who pointed out two females who were seen placing items in their purses. After searching the women, officers found four items of cosmetic jewelry in one of the female's pocketbooks. The female who did not have any items in her purse admitted to taking one pair of glasses but placing them back on the shelf.
