Theft by Taking
A man at a Grimes Avenue address reported the theft of money from his home by a guest sometime during May 16. He told the officer that a friend he invited over had taken $120 off his coffee table. When contacting the accused friend, he took out $24 from his pocket to show the officer, but refused to empty the other pocket. The officer noted in the report that he could tell there were other items in the pocket. After removing the rest of the cash he had, the officer found one $50 bill and three $20 bills. The man said the money was his and he did not steal it.
On May 17 at about 11:35 p.m. an officer was flagged down by a man on North Cobb Street in reference to someone breaking into his vehicle while it was parked in the hospital parking lot. He told the officer that he left his car parked May 16 but when he returned the next day he discovered that his black Kenwood radio/cd player was missing.
