MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Shoplifting

A Wal-Mart loss prevention employee reported the theft of miscellaneous merchandise by a female around 9:23 p.m. May 21. The woman tried to leave the store with $282.37 worth of merchandise but was stopped at the last point of sale. She was trespassed from the store and charged with theft by shoplifting.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers were dispatched to a South Irwin St. apartment complex in reference to a call of damage to property. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who said that while she was in the process of dropping off her friend, a man punched the window in her car, causing it to shatter into the rear passenger seat.  

Entering Auto

A woman reported the theft of her clothes from her vehicle at approximately 9:43 p.m. May 20. There were no signs of forced entry on the car. A duffle bag full of clothes was the only thing reported missing. Other clothes were scattered around the vehicle as if they had been taken out of the duffle bag and thrown around.


Officers were dispatched to a Dunlap Rd. hair salon May 20 in reference to a burglary. The owner told officers that someone broke into her salon and damaged two doors and made a mess of her hair products. The only thing reported missing was approximately $50 in coins from the candy dispenser located near the restroom of the business.
