MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Driving While License Suspended

A man was arrested Nov. 9 for driving while license suspended after he was pulled over for not displaying a tag.

Driving While License Suspended

A driver was arrested Nov. 5 for driving while license suspended after being pulled over for speeding.

Driving While License Suspended

A driver was arrested Nov. 9 for driving while license suspended after being pulled over for speeding.

Theft by Taking

A Stembridge Road resident reported Nov. 23 that a picnic table and a stop sign were stolen from his property.

Lost or Stolen Property

A resident of Lata Terrace reported Nov. 11 that several checkbooks were missing from her home after someone briefly stayed with her.

Criminal Trespass

A car owner reported  Nov. 22 that the passenger’s rear window of his vehicle was shattered by an unknown individual when it was left unattended for approximately 10 minutes on Highway 22 West.

Aggravated Assault

Officers reported to a residence on South Jefferson Street Nov. 19 where an individual had been injured. The man had a head wound.

Driving While Unlicensed

During a vehicle safety check point Nov. 24 the driver of a vehicle admitted to having been drinking and being unlicensed. The vehicle and its passengers were searched and an open container of alcohol was found. One of the passengers was in possession of cocaine. The driver was arrested and cited with driving under the influence, open container of alcohol, operation of an unregistered vehicle and driving while unlicensed. A warrant for cocaine possession was obtained for the passenger.

Criminal Trespass

A Berry Road resident reported Nov. 22 that someone had moved pumpkins from her porch and placed them on the hood of her car. She also stated that similar acts of trespassing had occurred previously in her yard.

Terroristic Threats

The parents of a 9-year-old reported Nov. 21 that someone had harassed and threatened to kill her.

Nuisance Animal

A resident of Shady Rest Court reported Nov. 23 that a neighborhood dog was running loose and barking at her and a child and she believes the dog is dangerous.

Terroristic Threats

A Baldwin County resident reported Nov. 23 that they had been contacted via telephone by an individual living in Alabama and that the individual threatened the life of a third party.

Nuisance Animal

A Prosser Road resident reported Nov. 23 that a neighborhood dog wandered the area and growled at him and his wife and that he believes the dog may bite.

Damage to Property

A homeowner of Pearl Drive reported Nov. 24 that their mailbox had been truck during the night and broken from its metal post. Officers found broken vehicle parts laying on the ground at the mailbox and in the road.

Criminal Damage to Property

An individual was arrested Nov. 20 for criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. The individual had damaged another’s vehicle with a rock and a chair, severely scratching the hood and putting holes in the windshield.
