Deputies were dispatched to a Brookwood Circle residence April 30 in reference to the theft of jewelry boxes from the home. A woman told deputies that around 6 p.m. she discovered two jewelry boxes were missing from her bedroom. She added that she did not know who could have taken the boxes and the only other spare key she had to the home was once hidden but later taken by family members for security reasons.
An incident where a dog attacked a puppy was reported to the sheriff's office April 26 at about 5:12 p.m. According to the complainant her juvenile daughter informed her that their 8-week-old pit bull puppy was attacked by a big brown dog at their Gerrell Drive residence. The puppy was found severely wounded. The deputy contacted the owner of the brown dog to inform him of the incident. He agreed to pay $100 toward the veterinarian bill.
