Police reported to a motel located on North Columbia Street April 20 around 5:34 a.m. in reference to a theft that had occurred. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who said three males, possibly juveniles, took an unknown amount of snack food from the counter area. The incident took place while she was getting breakfast ready for the customers.
On April 18 around noon a woman reported to the police department that someone has claimed her as a dependent or used her social security number when filing taxes. She was told by the Internal Revenue Service that the person lived in the Atlanta area. She added that the last time she filed taxes was 2011 and she has never lived outside the Milledgeville area.
Criminal Damage to Property
A woman at a West Thomas Street address reported damage to her property occurring sometime between April 19 and April 20. She told officers that someone inflated three of her car tires and the headlight “eyelashes” attached to her vehicle were damaged as well. The officers observed small cuts on the tires and concluded that the eyelashes had been cut off the vehicle due to fragments lying around on the ground.
