Milledgeville Police Department
A woman was trespassed from a North Columbia Street business April 8 after being asked to leave after she and several children asked customers for money for a church event.
A woman reported April 9 that while confronting a man who had allegedly bragged about breaking into her home he pulled out a pistol and pointed it at her.
A man remodeling North Cobb Street business units reported April 9 that someone had broken into one of the units and placed a mattress inside and strewn trash everywhere.
Theft by Shoplifting
Two women were arrested April 9 at a North Columbia Street business after they were seen concealing several clothing and cosmetic items on their person and passing the last point of sale. The items were valued at $119.79 and the two were cited with theft by shoplifting.
A woman reported April 10 that someone had used her credit card at a South Wayne Street restaurant. She believed that she had lost it on Roberson Mill Road.
An individual reported April 10 that a man claiming he was from the IRS called and informed her that she owed a large sum of money. She stated that he would not get off the phone and that he told her to place the money on Green Dot cards to send to him. He called a third time stating there were clerical errors and she realized it was the same man calling each time claiming to be a different person. The funds totaled $5,500 dollars before she contacted the authorities.
