MILLEDGEVILLE — Obstruction of Officers

Deputies were dispatched to an Ivey Drive residence June 12 in reference to an anonymous tip that a subject with several warrants was at the location. Upon arrival, deputies knocked several times on the front and rear doors of the address but no one answered. While knocking, they heard a lot of noise and movement coming from the front bedroom. A man came to the front door and when questioned, told officers that he did not know where the subject was. Upon searching the residence, officers noticed a large hole in the floor of the bedroom, which was partially covered. The man denied knowing that the subject was under his residence.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of jewelry from her Lakeshore Circle residence between May 12 and June 13. She informed deputies that she first noticed that her platinum band with a 1.5 carat diamond inset was missing from the home around May 12. Later in the month, she discovered that another ring, a white gold band with a 9.85 carat amethyst stone inset went missing.

Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at her mother’s Little Road home at approximately 12:30 a.m. June 13. When she went to check the property she noticed the screen from a window had been removed and the rear back door was left open. Upon entry into the residence, she discovered the house had been ransacked. A 19-inch flat screen television with a DVD player was reported missing from the residence.

Criminal Trespass

A deputy was dispatched to a Little Road location June 14 in reference to criminal trespass and damage to property. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who stated that someone attempted to break into her camper and damaged the door. Upon further inspection the deputy noticed visible damage of pry marks.

Burglary

Deputies were dispatched to a Sterling Road address June 14 in response to a burglary that had already occurred. Between June 2 and June 14, the owner of the residence discovered that someone forcibly entered the back door of the home and took several power tools and a flat screen TV while he and his family were at their residence in St. Simons.
